Neuropsychology Assessments
Neuropsychology assessments test a broad range of thinking and memory skills in children, adults, and older adults. They are often used clinically to help identify – or rule out – conditions such as dementia, learning disability, and acquired brain injury.
Whether or not someone is at risk of a neurological condition, neuropsychology assessments can provide insight into specific strengths and areas of difficulty, with a view to informing education, work, or care plans.
Psychological Therapy
Recovery from and adjustment to a neurological injury is pretty much the hardest thing that life can throw at you, but with the right support it is possible to reach a place of understanding and fulfilment in life post-injury.
I work therapeutically with people affected by neurological injury, including acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury. I offer services either as a lone therapist or as part of multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams.
Neurorehabilitation
Psychological therapy is about insight and change. Clinical psychologists are trained to work therapeutically with people across the lifespan and with a range of presenting problems.
My therapeutic experience is predominantly with adults with complex or relational trauma, PTSD, depression and anxiety. I work across modalities and have completed further trainings in EMDR, sensorimotor psychotherapy and systemic family therapy.
Resett Psychology is run by Dr Joe Rehling, Clinical Psychologist.
My base is in Canterbury, Kent, but home visits across much of the south east (especially in Kent and Essex) may be possible, depending on the nature of the appointment.
My founding pledge at Resett Psychology is that 10% of our profits will go towards funding social and environmental projects.
